I wanted to be an IHM after  having CCD classes taught by Sisters Thelma, Angela, and Edgar. I sensed their joy and holiness, and wanted to follow that path myself.

As an IHM, I've worked with the very poor in Peru, taught them English, helped in the soup kitchen, and collected clothing and food. In Canada, as Pastoral Assistant, I visited the sick in the hospital and the homebound and brought them communion.

I have been a teacher for 59 years. I'm most passionate about teaching religion because I love children and love to teach about God.

I think my knack is being a catechist, and I am known among friends for my sense of humor. In my spare time you can find me in New Bern, North Carolina. I love to be active, walking and being near the water.
